I designed the shape with one end being composed of blocky square shapes and the other end with flat rectangular shapes for increased variation and a unique look. I also wanted to create a modular rock asset that could be used both vertically and horizontally without any loss in modular plausibility. There are examples in this post that demonstrate that.
Material is inspired by shale rocks with a slightly oxidized surface. This game object is intended to be used as a game environment prop, either individually or by duplicating it to create large cliff and rock constructs.
Game ready environment prop, 11k polys. Sculpted in ZBrush, UVs in Blender, PBR textured in Substance Painter and rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3.
This object was sculpted using only a generic wireless mouse.
